- Real estate litigation: contested and uncontested lease renewals; dilapidations claims; service charge disputes; forfeiture and possession proceedings; the interpretation and enforcement of lease covenants; break notices; easements; debt recovery; the effect of both corporate and individual insolvency; and property aspects of divorce disputes
- Commercial litigation: commercial contract disputes; breach of directors’ duties; shareholder and partnership disputes; civil fraud claims, freezing orders and asset recovery; construction disputes; defamation and privacy law; and professional negligence claims
James has published articles and delivered talks on a number of topical issues and is a member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association and the Property Litigation Association.
